Cancelling Your Membership

NOTE: This article is a guide for typical cancellation scenarios. The cancellation terms of your signed agreement with Bodyworks may vary from these examples. This guide is not meant to replace the written terms of your individual agreement.


Membership Cancellation Guide

While we are sorry to see you go, Bodyworks is happy to cancel your membership per the terms of your signed membership agreement. While we receive cancellation requests for a variety of reasons, our procedures for cancellation fall into two general categories:

  1. Memberships that have not fulfilled their financial or term obligations
  2. Memberships that have fulfilled their financial or term obligations

Below are our procedures for each category.


Memberships Without Fulfilled Obligations

Per your membership agreement, if your membership is still under financial or term obligations, Bodyworks provides two reasons for cancellation: relocation or permanent physical disability.

Cancellation Due To Relocation

For your membership to qualify for relocation cancellation, the primary member must provide proof of relocation more than 60 miles from the address on the membership agreement. This proof can take several forms:

  1. A copy of a new lease in the name of the primary member
  2. A utility bill (electricity, cable, gas) in the primary member’s name, showing the new address.
  3. United States Postal Service confirmation for mail forwarding order showing both the old and new address.

Once you have provided the above proof, paid your $75 cancellation fee and provided 30 day notice, Bodyworks will cancel your membership. Please note: you are obligated to the terms of your agreement until you receive written cancellation confirmation from a Bodyworks office manager.

Cancellation Due To Permanent Disability

If you have been declared permanently disabled, Bodyworks will send a form to your physician requesting confirmation of your disability status. Once this form has been returned to us, your membership will be canceled within 30 days. Please note: you are obligated to the terms of your agreement until you receive written cancellation confirmation from a Bodyworks office manager.

Memberships With Fulfilled Obligations

Per your membership agreement, if you have fulfilled the terms of your contract, your membership can be canceled with 30 days written notice. To submit your 30 day cancellation notice, click here. A Bodyworks representative will contact you within three business days. Please note: you are obligated to the terms of your agreement until you receive written cancellation confirmation from a Bodyworks office manager.
